Panchang & Ephemeris

A **Panchang** is a traditional Hindu calendar used in Vedic astrology to determine the most auspicious times (muhurats) for various activities, such as marriage, starting new ventures, or religious rituals. It consists of five key elements:

1. **Tithi** (lunar day)
2. **Vara** (weekday)
3. **Nakshatra** (lunar constellation)
4. **Yoga** (planetary combination)
5. **Karana** (half of a lunar day)

The Panchang helps astrologers calculate the favorable and unfavorable times based on the position of celestial bodies.

An **Ephemeris** is a table or a book that provides the daily positions of celestial bodies (planets, Sun, Moon) for a specific time period. It lists their locations in the zodiac signs for each day, making it a crucial tool for astrologers to track planetary movements, transits, and their influence on individual charts.

Ephemeris helps astrologers in **predicting future events**, understanding planetary cycles, and analyzing astrological patterns.
